    product description

The Distributed Remote IO System is a sophisticated solution designed to enhance communication and control in industrial environments. It comprises two main components: the network adapter module and the expansion IO modules.
    1.Network Adapter Module
The network adapter module plays a crucial role in facilitating fieldbus communication, establishing a reliable connection with the master controller. This module is versatile, allowing users to select the appropriate bus module based on the communication interface of their controller system. It supports a variety of mainstream industrial communication protocols, including:
EtherCAT: Known for its high speed and efficiency, EtherCAT is widely used in real-time control applications.
ProfiNET: A standard for industrial Ethernet that enables seamless communication between devices.
Profibus-DP: A fieldbus protocol that is particularly effective for connecting sensors and actuators.
Modbus/TCP: A widely adopted protocol for industrial automation, allowing for easy integration with various devices.
EtherNet/IP: An open standard that facilitates communication over Ethernet networks.
    2.Expansion IO Modules
The expansion IO modules are essential for connecting to various input and output sensors in the field. These modules are designed to collect a wide range of signals from the environment. The input IO modules gather data and transmit it to the adapter via an internal bus. The master controller then retrieves this data through the fieldbus, processes it, and writes the output data back to the network adapter. Subsequently, the network adapter sends the output data to the output IO modules through the internal bus, enabling effective device control.
3.The expansion IO modules are categorized into nine major types, each serving a specific function:
Digital Input Modules: Capture binary signals from sensors.
Digital Output Modules: Control devices by sending binary signals.
Digital Input/Output Mixed Modules: Combine both input and output functionalities.
Analog Input Modules: Measure continuous signals, such as voltage or current.
Analog Output Modules: Output continuous signals to control devices.
Temperature Input Modules: Specifically designed to measure temperature from various sensors.
Pressure Sensor Input Modules: Capture pressure readings from connected sensors.
Pulse Counting Modules: Count pulses from devices, useful in various applications.
Auxiliary Modules: Provide additional functionalities as needed.
The flexibility of the network adapter and expansion IO modules allows for custom configurations based on specific field requirements. In scenarios with a high number of connection points, utilizing distributed IO modules can significantly reduce overall costs.
    4.Product Features
·Minimal Node Occupation: Each node consists of one EtherCAT adapter, 1 to 31 IO modules, and one end cap. A single adapter can support up to 496 IO points, making it an efficient choice for large-scale applications.
·Flexible Configuration: Users can freely combine various types of IO modules, allowing for tailored solutions that meet specific operational needs.
·Direct USB Upgrade: The system can be easily upgraded via a direct USB port, simplifying maintenance and ensuring that the system remains up-to-date with the latest features.
·User-Friendly Design: Each type of IO has an independent functional module, which can be directly loaded into the configuration system based on the actual topology. This design makes configuration straightforward and accessible, even for users with limited technical expertise.
·Rich Functionality of Expansion IO Modules: The IO modules encompass a wide range of types, including digital, analog, temperature, pressure, and pulse modules. This diversity allows for flexible combinations and expansions, making the system suitable for various applications. The strong compatibility of the adapter’s communication interface adheres to the EtherCAT communication standard, supporting mainstream EtherCAT master stations such as TwinCAT, Codesys, OMRON, and Trio.
·Module Parameter Configuration Support: The system allows for easy configuration of module parameters, enabling users to tailor the system to their specific needs.
·Error Diagnosis Support: The adapter is equipped with an error indicator light, and each module supports fault alarm functionality. This feature simplifies detection and maintenance. In the event of a sub-module alarm, the coupler will immediately generate a bus exception message, directly cutting off the bus for enhanced safety.
    5.Network Adapter
The LC1100 network adapter is a key component of the system, supporting standard EtherCAT device communication. It features two EtherCAT bus interfaces and supports MRP (Media Redundancy Protocol) for media redundancy, enabling ring network redundancy functionality. This makes it compatible with mainstream EtherCAT master stations such as TwinCAT, Codesys, OMRON, Trio, and ACS.
The LC1100 is designed to occupy minimal space while delivering high-speed performance. Its convenient wiring and simple configuration process make it an ideal choice for various industrial applications, ensuring reliable and efficient communication across the network.
In summary, the Distributed Remote IO System, with its robust architecture and versatile components, is designed to meet the demands of modern industrial automation, providing reliable communication, flexible configurations, and ease of use.
